The activities associated with the departure of the vehicle and physical transportation of product between locations. This may include customs clearance and duty processing. The Ship process is typically completed when the shipment arrives at the ship-to destination and/or Proof of Delivery has been established.
Use Cases
- Return shipment to online retailer
- Leased asset return shipment to Lessor (e.g. equipment, freight containers, pallets in a pallet-pool)
- In a manufacturing plant: Component return shipment (e.g. Buy part failing inspection)
