The activities associated with performing one or more tasks to convert raw materials, components, parts, or sub-assemblies into sellable products, sub-assemblies or semi-finished products. The product is produced for a specific Customer Order. Production volumes are determined by the orders for which they are produced.
Use Cases
- Mixing, separating, forming, machining, or chemical processing to Customer Order specification
- Producing a customer-specific sub-assembly for a Assemble-To-Order production order (e.g. trimming the engine for an CTO truck
- Final assembly of a Assemble-To-Order production order (e.g. final assembly of the above truck)
- In Retail: Mixing paint for a customer (in store service)
