The activities associated with issuing raw materials, subassemblies, and/or semi-finished goods to a staging area or a production location (line, station, cell, unit or vessel. This may include issuing materials explicitly sourced (S2) for a specific Production Order and recording the GI to the Production Order for some or all components/ingredients.
Typically more complex manufacturing processes employ multiple versions of Issue Materials in parallel and/or in sequence. Some materials are staged (semi-finished goods, sub-assemblies, kits), some materials are auto-replenished (drip parts, neutral packaging), some materials are triggered or pulled by the production order.
