Blockchain is a Term describing the Practice of keeping a secure digital ledger of economic transactions. The technology of a Blockchain is a distributed database that maintains records (known as blocks).
Use Cases
- Digitized Consignment Documents - Trustworthy, secure, and realtime copy of documents required for international trade and multi-modal transport
- Supply Chain Finance - Safe and secure payment without the need for a bank and associated transaction fees
- Electronic Data Interchange - Secure electronic transactions without the need for VANs and other EDI service providers and associated transaction fees
- Public data ledger - Permanent, public, transparent ledger of valuable assets (e.g. intellectual property)
