This includes identifying the testing process, taking a sample of the material, transporting the sample or the material to the testing/inspection location, testing or inspecting the material, returning the material and publishing the test results. Product inspection may occur in-process, between stages or post production completion.
This is a Make-to-Engineering-Order process; Special instructions or regulations may be defined as part of the order-engineering process.
Use Cases
- Order-engineering specified test instructions/process
- Inspection of work completed at the previous station on an assembly line
- Sample testing in staging area
- End of production line final inspections/QC
