Electronic express consignment declaration in the UN/EDIFACT format, combining the conveyance report, cargo report and customs declaration in a single message.

"This message permits the transfer of express consignment data to a Customs Administration for the purpose of combining all three types of Customs reporting (conveyance report, cargo report and Customs Declaration) within a single message."

Use Cases

• Shipper sends EDIFACT Firm Booking (IFTMBF) to Freight Forwarder or Carrier
• Freight Forwarder or Carrier responds with EDIFACT Booking Confirmation (IFTMBC)
• Shipper sends EDIFACT Instruction (IFTMIN) to Carrier
• Freight Forwarder or Carrier submits EDIFACT Customs Declaration (CUSDEC) or EDIFACT Customs Express Consignment Declaration (CUSEXP) to customs
• Freight Forwarder or Carrier provides multiple EDIFACT Instruction (IFTSTA) updates to Shipper or Consignee
• Freight Forwarder or Carrier submits EDIFACT Arrival Notice (IFTMAN) to Shipper or Consignee
• Freight Forwarder or Carrier submits EDIFACT Instruction Contract Status (IFTMCS) to Shipper

The EDI ANSI X12 equivalent is EDI 304 Shipping Instructions (Ocean).
