The activities associated with communicating the approved supply chain operations plan, demand and supply gaps and corrective actions for Materials Requirements Planning, Production Planning, Distribution Plan and Return Capacity Planning. This may includes communicating the plan to commercial partners and financial, business and/or corporate functions.
Notes
The output of this process ("the plan") generally functions as the demand for Plan Source, Plan Make and Plan Deliver processes. Omitting these relationships typically result in excess inventory and shortages, longer lead times and increased cost to expedite material and/or finished goods deliveries.
