This includes determining the optimal storage location, assigning equipment and operators, physical movement of product and recording the associated inventory transactions.

Notes
Some use cases require the unloading process to put the product away immediately. For example: For bulk products the (tanker, tanker truck or dump truck) Unloading process cannot always be separated from the Put Away process (storage tanks).
In some retail use cases the receipt of merchandize is bypassing the stock room. From a process perspective this practice is a combination of Transfer (Transfer) and Receive & Store (Put Away), thus eliminating Put Away
