On-time to Original Commit Ratio measures the ability to deliver products and service on or before the date given to the customer in the first (original) order confirmation. An order is on-time if all items were delivered by the date originally communicated to the customer, using the customer's definition of 'on-time to original commit'.

  • Orders On-time to Original Commit date = 1 (one) if all items were delivered on-time, 0 (zero) if one or more items were delivered too early or too late
  • n = Total number of orders or order lines delivered

Notes

On-time to Original Commit Ratio is one of the three types of on-time metrics possible:

Advanced planning and optimization systems attempt to first meet the Current Schedule date, then if possible improve to the Original Commit date and finally if possible improve to the Customer Request date.
