High Tech, Low Touch is a Term in the area of Business Process Management describing the level of automation and personal interaction of a process. A High Tech, Low Touch process has a high level of automation and low or no manual interaction.

Importance

High Tech, Low Touch processes are typically lower cost per transaction due to the high level of automation. The initial costs to develop these automated processes may be significant and High Tech, Low Touch is therefore less suitable for low volume transactions.
