Total Equipment Efficiency Performance (OEE) measures the ability to efficiently utilize production equipment (or assets). It measures how much of the time your manufacturing asset is running at full capacity and output good products.
Total Equipment Efficiency Performance | |
= | Overall Equipment Efficiency × Capacity Utilization × m:AE33 |
An Total Equipment Efficiency Performance approaching 100% means that the equipment is always available and running (~100% Equipment Availability) and running at maximum speed with no minor stops or slow cycles (~100% Equipment Performance) and product is made with no defects or rework (~100% Produced Quality).
In most industries:
ID | Name | Level | x |
---|---|---|---|
AE | Asset Efficiency | 0 | AE |
AE3 | Total Equipment Efficiency Performance | 1 | AE3 |
AE31 | Overall Equipment Efficiency | 2 | AE31 |
AE32 | Capacity Utilization | 2 | AE32 |
